This could be a long day... and it's one of the easier ones to start things off.

The slowest members must walk together, because it is pointless for the fastest member to walk with the slower members, since the faster must walk at the pace of the slower. The slowest, being the children, walk together because the speedier one makes little sacrifice (1 minute).

They make a second torch before going thru the tunnel. Dad takes Daughter with one torch and Mom takes Son with another torch for 9 minutes total.
