This could only happen in a leap year but not every leap year it is a rare occasion .

Ok i rumaged my brain all day and I think I got but if im wrong oh well. So here goes. In the Hindu calander there is the month of Kartika I believe it starts on a Monday and ends on a Monday even though on an english/american calander the month is several months long.

Nope... you're missing what the question asks... its not a trick: What month starts on a monday and ends on a monday, and why?

February is the only month that can do it- and on a leap year at that, because it makes 29 days- and 29 is divisible by seven plus one., meaning you can start and end on the same day of the week.. It'll happen in 2016.

Correct answer incongruent... well done. Feb and leap year only... the month of Feb will always start and end on the same day in any Leap Year. Mon, Tues, Wed, etc...

Jesse wanted into this exclusive club, which has some type of secret password method to enter. So he hid out where he could hear the doorman, thinking that if he listened long enough he would work out the algorithm and gain entry. A lady approached and the doorman said12. The lady responded 6, then entered the club. A gentleman approached, the doorman said 6, and the gentleman responded 3. Hearing enough, Jesse figured he had it worked out. The doorman said 10, Jesse responded 5, and was stopped at the door.

What was the answer and why?

Answer should have been 7 leaving the balance of 3 . Any answers with 3's or multiples of 3 gains admission.

12 + 6 = 18
6 x 3 = 18
10 + 8 = 18

Its all that makes sense right now. What the doorman says and what person responds with has to equal 18, the common number between the two examples he heard.
