Suicide is a chargeable offence in most countries and states. Its typically not charged, because the person is dead... but sometimes is when failed, if the attempt caused disruption of significance.

"Normally", failed attempts the person is sent for treatment, not punished... but if your attempt caused damage or interruption to community services / property, you could be charged for attempting suicide and then further causing damage to public properties, etc...

I wish I could say this one wasn't easy but I think most EMS/First Responders would know this if they'd been in it long enough. Sadly.

We used it as a legal tactic to compel a person into allowing us to take life saving action or face court ordered lfe saving action.

I was really tempted to answer suicide myself but I didn't find sufficient evidence on the internet that it was a crime. Although It doesn't sound like it fits the bill of a typical crime it certainly should be a crime against something.
