Basically, they think they may be able to figure out how to make meds last longer in the brain so you will need less to have the same effect for longer. They based this off of a study of why LSD lasts so long but they're not advocating using LSD. The idea is to engineer psych meds in the future so that they just have the long lasting quality, not the rest the effects of LSD.
