Michelle Thomson ( hope the spelling is correct) MP for Edinburgh west, told the house of commons, of her experience of being raped at the age of 14, carrying the after effects, and of seeking help (I'm guessing therapy) in her mid forties.

Just wanted to share. I normally stick to classical music stations to avoid the shite. For once it wasn't shite.

I watched this on the news tonight.....there was total silence in my house. I totally admired her for how she put it across..I wish her a restful night tonight.

It is a very courageous thing for her to do, very tough for a sexually abused victim to come forward. I tried that once but this misinformation was quickly used by people who had the exact same thing in mind, i.e. the people that knew what happened to me: well some of them used that information of the crime in order to attempt to victimize me in the same way. I would only share such personal facts with a person that I knew very well and trusted. I do not think I would share that openly, there is just too much danger.
