I found that Bachlofen for muscle spasms caused by my CNS cysts and spinal cord injury 20 mg 3 times a day helps better than flexeril. Oxazapam helps a lot too and rarely need to take codiene. Codiene makes you feel bad when you have to take it every day and aren't given enough to relieve the pain. The incompetent VA Drs give antidepressants for everything and I am deathly allergic to them. They still insist even after I took one in the va hospital after I warned the dr at his insistence and was in a coma for a couple days with dangerously low blood pressure. They really don't care about vets!
