:hello: HI Scott,

My hubby is disabled military (U.S.Army) has PTSD and often feels like this next character (ranger is my hubby on the forum)

:wall:

If your wife is on the forum as well, we have a place to talk. The spouses can get together & chat. It's sometimes a very good place to go & get feelings let out, concerns, or gain hugs.

The loss of a childs life is difficult in any situation. There isn't any good loss.

Keep in mind, your wife and two children, they need you --not yr $$$, not memories past, YOU NOW & YOU FUTURE. You are the best person they love you for who you are.

Here's hugs to your whole family from my family XXXXXXXXXXXX

Take Care

D (wildcritter)

Welcome to the forum mate, my time in the forces included 2 tours in N.I., so although different (each persons PTSD is!), I've a good idea where youre coming from.

Remember this, one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time.

Hi mate thanks for your reply. I served in the Cheshires, I originally was posted to them as a cook from the ACC after 2 years as a junior. I was based up in Ballykelly and the Battalion had a tough time up there. I volunteered to do patrols to relieve the boredom, and my CO suggested that I upted my training and re-join the regiment. So I went off to Catterick for an extra 8 weeks training. The instructors asked me if I wanted a Jock Regiment, but I said that I was quite happy in the Cheshires. What was your Regiment.
Cheers
Scott:hello:

Hi DD, I worked in Saudi with guys from the 101st Airbourne just before desert storm. Great bunch of lads and very professional. My unit was the Cheshire Regiment, but in Saudi I was attatched to the Staffordshire Regiment. When we went in we got shot up by an A10 Warthog and lost 10 guys before we had even fired a shot. So I'm still mad about the USAF for that, and in particular the pilot of the A10.
Cheers Buddy
Scott (Jock in the Army):hello:

Hi DD. I often used to wear my kilt at formal dinners in the Sergeants Mess and I used to get hoots of laughter from my fellow N.C.O's, I used to call them Heathens. (I'm a true Scotsman).
Whenever I was back at base in Germany, especially during the summer I would head off on my motor bike and head south to 7th Army area and chill out. Wore kilt on motorbike, much to the annoyance of the German Cops, and much to the enjoyment of the Frauliens passing in their cars who would toot their horns at me. AH! Happy Days.

Cheers
Jock (Scott):occasion:

heheh, i have to ask are you a scott or a fraser? I've been just killing myself over this.. everytime i see your name.. my mother's maiden name is scott.. and my ex-husbands name is fraser!! Just one of those stupid things that make you giggle...

bec

Hi Bec. My first name is Scott, and my surname is Fraser, but everybody calls me Jock. So I'll let you use that if you wish.
Incidentally the Frasers are a great clan and come from the area around Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness in Scotland.
Cheers
Jock (Scott):hello:

Hi jock, I don't remember where the Scotts exactly come from. something about the border? I'm a descendant of Sir Walter Scott.. if you remember where they come from..

bec

Hi bec, how are you.
We Scots come from the UK but we are still a proud nation, the border of Scotland and England is from Carlisle in the West to Northumberland in the East, Seperated by Hadrian's Wall built in 200AD by the Roman Emperor Hadrian to keep us from invading England all of the time.
Our most famous Scots are William Wallace (Braveheart), Robert the Bruce, Alexander Fleming (Penicillin), Alexander Graham Bell (Telephone), Robert Louis Stevenson (Writer) John Logie Baird (Television), Billy Conolly (Comedian), Bonnie Prince Charlie (Idiot).
I wear a kilt, and I'm a true Scotsman, and don't wear anything under it.
Cheers
Scott:hello:

Hi Cathy.
Scott here. Yes Nessie does exist, some people think that it is just a myth. But I've seen some thing on the loch and it was not a small animal, this bugger had a very long neck and looked like a dinosaur.
So if you ever visit Loch Ness the atmosphere around the place is unusually quiet. To quiet.
Take Care
