I went to a patient's funeral the day before my Mom's...and as they were lowering him into the ground I started laughing SO LOUD the preacher stopped! I could not get my $h1t together and had to be dragged back to the car!

Nope your not the only one. I can't think of any examples but I'm well known for bursting into hysterical laughter when I shouldn't be. My step-mom does the exact same thing. It's just a stress reaction.

Becvan, Thank you for that! I had that problem for a long time and it was drum corps that cured me. I kept getting push-ups for doing it when we weren't supposed to, so I learned to chomp down on my inner cheek. I have some scarring there from it but it worked!

hmmmm....maybe not the healthiest means of managing that quirk but it sure makes it easier to function in society.

Agreed. After one of my parents died, I missed a week of school. When I went back to class, someone asked me where I'd been. I burst into laughter and said, My parent died! The poor person was horrified. I was just so overwhelmed and uncomfortable, it came out in giggles.
