Sorry I didn't read all that's in this thread, perhaps it is only meant for ridiculing Americans for our guns... however there is much we can ridicule!
How about the new manufactured controversy over transgenders in our bathrooms? A situation most of us had NEVER thought about until North Carolina decided to force transgenders to use the bathrooms that suit their birth certificates rather than the bathrooms that suit their current physical appearance!
People are giving wonderful speeches of outrage and concern over the women and children being subjected to perverts in the bathroom. It warms my heart that the menfolk are looking out for us, finally! After all these years! Who knew perverts were getting into our bathrooms by looking like women! and then using the bathroom, washing their hands - cuz that's what WOMEN do, regardless of their birth certificates, and leaving without incident.
Now we've got to deal with the North Carolina bill forcing women who look like men, and might even have penises, to use the women's room with us...AND we have to deal with President Obama's directives to move away from gender specific bathrooms in favor of share and share alike, like you would at home! So, I see myself going out to dinner with my husband's workmates and ending up in the bathroom peeing beside his male co-worker. That won't be awkward. Then watching him leave without washing his hands! :))
I want to go back to the days when no one was targeting transgenders under the guise of protecting women and children, so I can expect to only see women-ish people in the bathroom..or women and their young boys. That'd be nice. But now it's part of our law, and we have to figure out a way to write common sense into legalese so it can't be misinterpreted.
