Poll Do You Have Pets / Animal Companions?

I love my dog zoe. she is 110lbs. Makes me feel safe when I am home alone.

I have a cat, she's almost 3. My DP and I adopted her from a shelter when she was a kitten. She's the most snuggly lap cat which I love so much. She always seems to know when I need some comfort and will come and sit on my lap and purr away. She does this gorgeous thing where she'll lie in my arms like a baby and rest her paw on my cheek.

My puppy. She is spending a couple days at doggy camp.

Our two cats know when we are sad and needing support. They come sit on us and purr.

My dog is very precious to me and helps me feel less lonely at night.

One cat, two dogs, two gerbils, three chickens. Also -technically not "pets", but I take care of several wild animals as a rehabilitator. Some animals that have come and gone through my home include:

Squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, pigeon, mockingbird, nighthawk, starling, mourning dove, hawk, owl, kestrel, grackle, turtle, snake, feral dog, and an endangered species of moth (luna moth).

Wow, I'm impressed. That is such meaningful work. I used to work with animals and it was so rewarding.

I'm used to danes!

I was looking at a dane puppy for adoption yesterday. My son says I'm one big dog short of being a crazy big dog lady. I only have 2 mastiffs and 1 cat. One of the mastiffs is a service dog so she shouldn't count, lol.

I work in animal rescue. Many abused and neglected furbabies out there in the world. Adopt don't shop! :D

Unfortunately I lost my beloved dog Jabjab in 2012 to metastatic breast cancer....RIP Jabby my little boo.

She was the cutest beagle mix I found her in the Bronx streets and we became best friend very soon. She also loved to fly.
