If the choice is cancer or heart attack, then it's cancer or a heart attack that has been chosen by the people of the US as the cure, the escape, for what people think is a greater and worse disease: fear.

I think America needs to grow a few and stop voting out of fear. :(

It also may be that Trump picked Pence out of a desire to sabatoge his campaign. Something is quite off about it.

When W. was selected, I wanted to move to Canada. But we didn't. Now, if it was a choice between W. and Trump, I'd pick W. I think I'd pick practically anyone over Trump.

For us to go from Obama to Trump is unimaginable, but perhaps possible. I truly think Obama will have a legacy that will be up there with Lincoln's. Ha, okay, running and ducking again. But I mean it! Obama has been a great president. Not perfect. Who's perfect? But certainly better than anyone else in my 50+ years lifetime.

Yeah, Johnson signed in the Voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act, but Kennedy got them started, and they both were not great regarding Vietnam. Obama has tried like hell to stop the wars W. started, but these things take on a life of their own and it's damned hard to stop something like this once you've started it.
