I am so sorry. That's my worst nightmare; one of them, anyway.

Nothing happened. She texted me saying she had a cold and asking me to move the appointment. She didn't text again. I didn't either, because that was the umpteenth time. And many other times she arrived late or she didn't show up. So I finally got the message.

It sounds like she's wildly unprofessional. Hopefully, it's a good chance to start with someone who is dedicated to helping?

That is very upsetting. It sounds like, though, you might have actually made the right move and dropped her. I know how easy it is to assume that you are the problem, but her being inconsistent about appointments isn't on you: that's her irresponsibility.

We all deserve someone who can actually follow through in therapy.

But ugh; what a horrid thing to go through.

Sorry to hear this. I think it's a common symptom of PTSD to think WE are to blame for the actions of others. As an outside perspective on this situation, I think it was YOU who dropped HER, and you should feel good about taking action to get the help you deserve. :)

I am sorry, you deserve a therapist that will understand you and help in making you feel better.

Tell yourself that you took control and made the decision that you are better than to be on the receiving end of this behaviour. Yes, she has acted abusively and unprofessionally, but you're not going to take it. Don't waste a moment longer on her. Seek out someone else and stipulate at the start that you expect certain things. Healing from traumatic abuse is in part about taking back control, so well done for saying "no more." Ignore any further communications from her, too. And really good luck with finding an excellent trauma therapist. You'll very probably look back on this with great relief.

A lot therapeutic people, semi-professionals, psycho-people to psychiatrist, only dancing for the money. I saw it myself. I kicked my ex-psychiatrist out and now I have to hear from other people as me, when I asked to say my name and my info they got from me, " Not that LARA again ... ".

My point is, that you saw a lot of things in your life, as I have my things and life-changing problems, that those people coming from school, some universities, and settling themselves down on their own fabricated job. Yes, they know a book and some solutions, but what they can deliver as real help (instead of 75 dollars for 3x 15 minutes you are there).
