We don't need religion separating mankind. Religion is emotional terrorism when it's based on fear of repercussions not from a just God, but from the clerics who say, they speak God's words. B.S... How many people have died in the name of the "one true God?" OMG... Oh, MY GOD... a phrase that feels more true than the words of preachers... my God, does not choose sides.

We are presented with a foe that seeks to subjucate the whole of humanity under Islamic law. And repress the rights of women I might add. It is a conglomeration of third world value system against the Western ideological world. A cancer that can only be treated by those who host it.

As someone who has PTSD due to adherance to laws claimed as Islamic laws, all I can say is that this has so many sides and interpretations. It is not right to use the label of that word "Islam" to authorize violence, and it is also not right to use it to disgrace an entire religion and therefore an entire population and culture. "Islam" actually means "submission" to God, and the word has been misinterpreted so much I just want to scream. :banghead:The real connection has been lost and yes, I agree, this language needs to be rediscovered in many ways. Some people have their way of understanding what that word really means and are using it for reasons that are completely unjustified. And I honestly think this is happening on both sides.

Considering the extremists rally around the Islamic banner and the general populace remain silent. Call it what it is. I am very familiar with the text of the Koran. But I am also very aware that the education of the people who profess such belief has been systematically thwarted because in certain regions... school/education has been attacked. Ignorance breeds this beast.

Okay so as not to jeopardize my "membership" I choose to withdraw. Though I see the enemy and I fear for humanity should the conditions which feed and harbor the abomination continue to occur.

More than a decade ago there was an espoused wish for "blue eyed" terrorists... it looks like they got their wish. The problem moving forward is what to do when citizenry commit criminal acts. Nothing more needs to occur. But our own government heaps more and more complicity to ignoring the problem... not calling it what it is in the interest of political correctness.

The Fort Hood Massacre is STILL work place violence? Um no, it wasn't. We all know it wasn't... but we aren't "allowed" to say that.

For the record, I googled "F'ck you Janet Napolitano" for a good amount of time because of her ineptitude about this incident and failure to answer questions from a standing senator. I didn't feel comfortable posting a discenting opinion. That really blows, because my governance is "we the peoples". I hope she fries and Hillary about Benghazi too.

Your God should choose sides. Either is seeks to repress all of humanity to 3rd world conditions and ignorance, or it espouses personal accountability of human rights and freedoms under the law for all. Women, men, children, irrespective of faith. A.E. Houseman said, in a poem, "If my ways are not as theirs, let them mind their own affairs"... but given the face of the new enemy and way of change in the world at large... I just can't do that.

I don't mean to preach hate but sometimes it is appropriate. I HATE what that terrorist did to the American people. I HATE that he killed people in the name of Islam. I HATE that he murdered a child. I HATE that he lived in this country and afforded a stellar education only to be wasted on bigotry and racism. I HATE that I am considered prejudice because I don't accept Islamic law. I HATE that I am not free to voice my own opinion about religious fanaticism without fear of retribution. I HATE that there are so many who face diversity and overcome who are afforded the same opportunities as this terrorist. I HATE that he gets a trial because those he murdered had no second chance.

Call me a "hater" I don't care because for me, it is an acceptable feeling. Not one bone in my body feels sorry for that animal. Not one second would I considered forgiving him for this atrocity because I saw a picture and looked into the eyes of the little boy who was murdered. A life full of promise cut short by a worthless individual. I feel sorry for the families and victims and that is where I will spend my energy.

I, as well, had family in NYC during 9/11 and it was a day before I heard if they were ok as they worked there. Scary. A day I will never forget. A day I will never forgive either and I am ok with that.
