Relationship First isolation - what to say when he reaches out?

Thanks everyone. I think collectively you’ve hit the nail on the head. Meeting up this week was cancelled, he wasn’t ready, but he did manage a short conversation by text. I think he just wanted reassurance that I was still here and I’m very greatful that he was also able to offer me some reassurance that he really wants me to be there for him, even if he isn’t sure how right now.

I’m fortunate that I have a busy life with work and hobbies. I have my own therapist and my friends and family are supportive of my relationship. But one week in, and after a glimmer of hope, I’m struggling to stay positive today. I’m worried about him and I miss him.

I'm so sorry. I can't offer much advice as I'm new to going through this as well. But it's a good step I think that you at least had a conversation via text. I don't know if you said how long he's been out of touch but texting and having even a short conversation is good I think. I'd stay hang in there for a while longer if you really care about him. I'm doing the same right now. I refuse to give up just yet.
