If anyone would like to try this for me for a week I would be Honoured and would love to hear at the end of the week any feedback y

Ah gosh , maybe I conveyed it incorrectly. I was trying to refer to this above sentence. I suppose that is why quoting is a good thing, yes? I was attempting to ask which thread to place the feedback on (with weather permitting) the shared adventure. :hilarious:

They (those invisible people) say practice makes perfect, so I thought I might attempt to clarify.:clown:

Well I personally think for neatness and a tidy Forum lets keep all feedback on this thread I will sift through it to check peoples opinions on this as a relevant and usefull or not as the case may be thread for helping with Inner Child Healing.

Hi Laurie
coming back to read this in full at lunch time.

Critics of Laurie's decision might like to consider the "nirvana fallacy" - people who don't have ptsd, have sh!te to deal with too. unfortunately only humans can provide therapy, and humans are all too humanly falliable.

great decision Laurie, I wish you well

I am at this precise moment in time processing the most horrific nightmare scene I have ever witnessed. My main problem is I am only 8 years old when he did this to me and I am not coping well at all. I will come back to this thread shortly.

I would be interested in it as an idea. But since I live in another country from the countries my traumatic childhood occurred in... I'm not sure I can find the same candy and any candy I tried would be my modern day Moon's selection not kid. So um thoughts?

Then Moon beam my dear Moonbeam, I would be more that happy to advise you personally on the sort of sweets we have back in the day in the UK. I will even buy them and post them over to london for you :hug:L

Also there is a strong following for retro sweets in the UK online market, That would be a really good place to start for importing candy

But if they weren't sweets I had as a child wouldn't they not have the same effect. Trying something new now would be the same as trying it as an adult not a child. I think I found a website that will ship Mr. Goodbar's to the UK, so shall have to wait for them to try it.

Research Retro American Candy UK as a search Topic on google I am sure we have an American Candy Internet shop right her in the UK

ZOMG... @moonbeam ...I did just that a few weeks back on a whim (except I knew the name of what I was looking for, & periodically search for it every few years) ... :D Not only is the SouthAfrican candy available through one of the retro candy companies? They had an account with Amazon... Who had it to my house in 3 days!

Girl Scout Cookies, otoh, are pure hell to get to the UK. I suspect the customs agents eat them. I've taken to hiding them like contraband when shipping them to my brother & his wife!
