I seem to know exactly when the phone is for me, or when the door is for me. I can even tell sometimes what the right answer is just by a strong feeling or that something will happen in my life. It really comes as strong feelings. Interesting and I'll have to be more in tune. I've had the empathy gift for a long time, I can "step into other people's shoes" and feel what they'd feel like. It depends on the person to feel it strongly or not at all. I usually have to know them in person, I've found it's easy for me to relate to people emotionally. I've been so out of touch lately though that I don't know if I allow that gift to be on.

I just remembered that I have a connection with pets. It depends on the pet but usually I can get many animals to trust me and come to me. It's great because so often in my life it was through animals that I relied on for comfort and just petting an animal brings enormous emotional relief. It's great because on walks I can kneel down and a cat will come up to me and I can pet it. I once prayed that a horse who was yards away would come comfort me in a time of need and that was more an answer to a prayer because I've never seen a horse walk that fast to come to my outstretched hand.

There may very well be some element of "Extra-sensory perception" in people...I think that it needs to be tested/quantified though before we take great leaps...it should be understood before we undertake it.... but one can be free to believe/follow what one desires; I choose to follow the path least traveled as that is said to garner the most results.

If all that we are is a summation of our physical senses, than why is it that some people have an uncanny ability to "feel" what others are feeling? Why is it that we can have conversations with people we've only just met, and feel like we've been friends with them our whole lives? It may be a rudimentary/simplistic sense, but what if these perceptions we ALL have are simply in their infancy/dormancy? if we could find a way to 'enhance' these abilities such as intuition, than perhaps from there things could evolve to a point where the intangible mind COULD effect physical matter...as long as there's a WILL in play, there's GOT to be a way...you know?

I've been studying molecular biology, genetics, psychology, quantum physics, and evolutionary sciences...all to understand how we can as a race "leap" forward and discover our potential...but then, I've always resented limitations...:geek:

Quantum physics is a generalization of classical physics. The operators in quantum theory obey the same dynamical relations as the observables in classical theory, and the algebra of quantum mechanics is already present in the Hamiltonian formulation of classical mechanics. So yes, if you don't understand Newtonian physics, you wouldn't be able to grasp quantum physics.

I knew I would start to have a reaction if I went onto this thread. I'm unfollowing...

Numerous times I have felt danger before seeing it. It is like a sudden over-pressure seconds before someone come through a door or around a corner. When I was a bouncer it came in very handy. I would scan a crowd and feel when trouble was brewing before any event took place. I could be totally pre-occupied with checking ID’s and just feel the pressure in the place change before anything went down.

I’ve freaked my boss out years ago by pointing at the phone and telling him “answer that” before it wrung. When he picked it up, before the other person on the line could tell him a word I stuck my hand out for him to give it to me. Of course the other person asked for me and then my boss handed me the phone. I had no reason to believe I was going to receive a call at that moment. This could have been because I sensed the electrical field put out by electricity running down the line a split second before the phone rang.

I believed that much of my ‘clairvoyance’ came from the fact that all people’s brains put out electronic fields. Depending on thoughts and moods those fields can change. This has been proven and is well documented and is pretty much unchallenged. Your brain, like anything else running on electricity, will put out a very specific electro-magnetic field depending on what neurons and how many are firing.

Where the unproven hypothesis starts is that I believe just as our brains/antennas can put out radio waves, like any other antenna it can receive radio/brain waves. It would make evolutionary sense that since humans are very tribal that we would have the ability to pick up anger radiated from someone without them saying a word. I feel much of PTSD is re-awakening 2 million years’ worth of DNA that helped us avoid saber-toothed cats and each other.

For doubters, I’m sure we have all felt someone looking at us and turned around, or looked at someone from behind had them feel you looking. I have had this happen over and over again. Anyone can do this, but I haven’t heard any explanations better than the one I propose. This doesn’t automatically prove everything I’ve said, but I think it is a good start. It has more in common with physics than psychics.

I also think being a strong iNtuitive on the MBTI, that my brain can pick up thousands of cues and put together a picture in my subconscious without me be being aware. Also being a dominant introverted intuitive I am not going to ignore my sub-conscious/intuitive when a thought or idea pops up. It isn’t magic, but someone unfamiliar with that part of the brain process may think it is since it isn’t obvious what evidence was used to come up with the idea.

That is what being iNtuitive is all about. Not to confuse intuitive with psychic, I use it under the Myers-Briggs definition. Many of you are on here to discover what you are all about. Studying the MBTI, Socionics, or any other Jung based behavioral theories will put you light-years in that direction.

Now, when it comes to predicting the future my theory gets fuzzier. I have had dreams that predicted big events. I had a very strong one about 911 a few weeks before it happened. The only logical explanation I can come up with is that between books, movies, radio, news, and tv that my subconscious was able to put it together much how google has been able to predict similar events based on the patter and number of searches on certain topics. I admit though that this idea is no more solid than someone claiming God spoke to them. I just have ideas, not the answers.

I am intuitive to people's mood and feelings and what they may be thinking. I sense things in people a lot. But I also think this is part of hyper-vigilance, constantly checking people out for any signs of danger, needing to know what they thinking, what they really mean, looking for cues in body language etc.

I don't actually believe in people being pyschic and being able to predict the future. But I do believe in intuition.

I second this. We all are psychics. It's not like specialist. It's up to you whether you believe in it or not. Everyone has intuition. It depends how people use it. This forum has broke many misunderstanding I had for psychics and many other things related with it.

I have become more sensitive, but now I am able to gain little control over it. I was afraid of being empathic person. One more confession, I used to feel why I have empathy like most female has. I think some men do have it.

Knowledge is power, if you have it. Then you can apply it and be its form.
