Wow, how did I miss this thread? I have the gift, and I guess that's why I hate psych meds so much, they turn it off. My dreams are really helpful so I stopped the nightmare meds so I could get in touch again. I think since the PTSD I've shut down, don't know if my gifts did.

I think that psychic ability is simply connecting to the akashic field or akashic records. This is becoming more acceptable with modern quantum and systems theories in science such as the Theory of Everything (ToE).

I'm not a buyer of traditional "psychic" things, but with PTSD came prophetic dreams from time-to-time and an ability to read people and situations. The dreams are the only thing I would chalk up to any kind of inexplicable event, as they tend to occur at about one year before it happens. I find my general EQ has leaped to the other extreme now that I know myself (therefor other people) more. Before I was totally walled up in my head where everybody & everything was a mystery. Its too bad these gifts have come side-by-side some crushing deficits though.

When I'm having a good day & can be really present I know things quicker, I'm flowing. I can asses situations, the environment/atmosphere around me, subtle social cues, tones of voice, the look in peoples eyes & how they feel underneath, what they are 'saying' behind their words, connecting dots, decoding all the media crap everywhere and what buttons its pushing to manipulate.... It does seem sort of psychic (and hey alot may be just in my head too, delusion land lalala) but I think its more that we just live in such an emotionally retarded, comfortably numb society where this stuff goes under the radar so it seems supernatural or something. I think the internet helps with alot of this too, people are thinking more holistically in general now maybe; its not so boxed in? I've definitely had alot of eerie synchronicities too.

I was talking (email) to one of the docs (of the whole two universities) that does that type of research. I asked if they had done any studies on LEO's. I can sniff out trouble pretty good. You know that hair on your neck kind of thing but I have seen some officers who were extremely good at it. I'm not sure of the gift maybe body language maybe ESP or human conscious connections. Maybe all of them. He said they were doing some of that because LEO'S use intuition all day long and it does seem to make them better at some of their tests. Maybe it's a heightened survival skill. Maybe adrenaline induced since it heightens all of your senses. Anyway my two cents...

Bill I agree it is survival. Some call it a gift but that's okay, I too, wrote to a doctor in Italy who is doing MRI's on brain trauma and spirituality. I attribute his work in my book, just released last week. much to learn from transgenerational trauma, too.
