IQ is one's intelligence quotient. I think I was just pointing out that it would be considered intelligent to believe in God, as there is evidence of His creative abilities quite readily noticeable in nature and creation itself. You know, the stars, the planets, all that. I don't think that the universe just "happened." I think it was created. And Someone quite powerful and awesome had to have created it.

I agree(im a christian too), but with all due respect i think all they asked was how ones intelligence has anything to do with faith, and i noticed how the original comment came out of the blue which probably struck someones curiosity. I mean im a savant with an iq of 136 with tons of knowledge on theology and the occult, but thats not for talk on this thread, i talk about it on other forums.

Anyhow, i think this tread is about if the church hurt you and how, not ones intelligence. Also you just implied that someone might lack intelligence for not believing in God. Keep in mind many people on this site have been hurt by religion or people advocating for their god, so they dont lack intelligence, theyre just being safe.

I refuse to set foot inside of a church after the many repeated abuses they caused me & many others in the homeless community. Who would force a sick & hungry person to listen to a 2 hour sermon prior to allowing them to eat? Don't get me started. I could write a book on the injustices of well meaning church people.:confused:

I was raped by a guy from church when I was 16. That and my parents abused me using religion as an excuse. Ironically I am still religious however I don't share the same beliefs as them.
