Hello, everyone. I am new to MyPTSD. I am an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. I have dealt with PTSD a lot over the years and have caused a great deal of damage and pain in my life. I had a huge catharsis two weeks ago after a really horrible night that resulted in my wife leaving.

I came across this forum and thought it would be a good place for me to continue to work towards being a better man than I have been over the past years. I also recently started a blog called the Warriors' Burden in hopes that sharing some of my life experiences can help others like.

Welcome, you are among friends here and in the sister site as well. One cannot have too much support.

@atthree, it is completely appropriate and encouraged that folks be referred on to My Combat PTSD. He may not have known it existed. He can be a part of one, the other, both or none. They each serve their purposes in the healing process.

Thank you, all. I have been doing some reading on both sites. I think there are a lot of similarities in all kinds of PTSD. I didn't feel redirected or 'ran off' by the additional suggestion to take a look at the veterans' site. I think both are very helpful in gaining perspective from many PTSD sufferers and supporters at all different stages of their respective stories.

The myCombat forum doesn't have the same rules as are on here. Sometimes vets need to vent to others who can relate. Many members here are also members there. I didn't get the impression Echo was sending Warbreed away.
