Sufferer Hi My Name Is Teri And I Am New To The Site.

My Therapist recommended I find a site. I am 54 married for 36 years to a supportive man. I was diagnosed six years ago. Was sexually abused from childhood by my father and by one of my moms boyfriends. I struggle with PTSD,depression,anxiety and dissociation. I have been reading some of the posts on here for a couple of weeks. I really need this site for support as I feel alone most of the time.

Hi Teri... I was also sexually abused by my father. I have been dissociative for years. I have recently been through a second trauma and slowly working my way back to some normalcy. Welcome to the forum , i too have not been on here long but it's the best thing I ever did . You will find ppl support you without judging. I think ul find it's the only place apart from when you with your t that you can be open and honest. I too am a victim of child abuse and rape so I understand what you may b going through. I have cptsd and have done for years although more active recently . Here to support you , don't be afraid , it's the only place where you won't feel fear! Good luck

@slightly obssessed welcome to the forum. It's nice to meet you and thank you for sharing. I agree with you about feeling alone, and this is why I appreciate this site. I visit several times a day, I feel like I've been adopted, and I've just met my extended biological family at a large family reunion. A metaphorical homecoming if you will...It's nice to be at a place where people, "Get it" and it's safe here. I hate being treated outside of here that my PTSD is a four letter word, and something I chose for my life. Again, nice to meet you, and thank you for sharing.
