How to find info on new Psychologist

I've been assigned a psychologist, but thousands of Google searches later all I can find is her license number and that she practices at the clinic. No ratings, no reviews, no specialty information, no information about her degree or where she went to school - nothing. Anyone know of a database I can check for info or anything?

I'm not sure where you are, in the US, you can usually go to the state's licensing board and find those particulars. For my state, it didn't come up readily in Google, but I was able to go to my state's specific website and find that information (school, license number)

Reviews, I've never been able to find those online for my current therapist or previous ones. I think therapy can be so taboo in our society still that people are more hesitant to leave a review.

Yeah, I looked her up and all it says is that she has an active license. Thanks though. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

When googling, did you try combos of words along with her name?

Yeah, I tried her name and 'therapy' and her name and 'psychologist' and her name and the name of the clinic. Nada.

You can call the clinic and ask for her CV, if you want to know ahead of time.

I always ask the person themselves what their education & experience & favorite schools of thought (Cognitive, Physiological, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, etc.) are, as part of my interview & getting to knooooow you process.
