Interview Today! Medication In Drug Tests

I know from the title this looks as though It shouldn't be here but there's reason why I chose this category. I have an interview this morning at the Bowling Alley for a position and I wasn't really nervous until now. I'm on medication for Bipolar, PTSD, and ADD. Thanks to my fathers comments I'm now worried I will not get this job I was thinking would be a slam dunk or whole in one. My dad made the comment that some of my medications might show up as drugs in my system and that they might not hire me if the drug testers don't confirm its just medication. My dad knows how to turn something that should be so easy and make it difficult. Has anyone had any prescribed medications for any of the above listed disorders show up on a drug test? And has anyone been fired or not hired for any of those medications showing as drugs on the test because the tester company is too lazy to confirm your prescriptions?

So far as I know, opiates do show up... but I am pretty sure that the screening is for illegal substances.

Added in Edit: Good luck today and shake it off. Deal with things as best as you can as they come up. Stay in the present and reduce your stress level.

Okaye, there are two types of blood tests.... the more advanced one is a 10 panel which I was passed. I told them I had prescribed medicine but they didn't seem to care. I take Celexa and Xanax.

I would say, do not worry about it with 100% confidence. You can tell the lab you take prescription drugs and what they are... I had my bottles in my pocket with my name on them. ;-)

Just go get the job and don't leave until you have it!:smug:

I have a second interview with the alley, a possible job with this fast food Mexican restaurant and a possible job at a candy shop (the girl at the counter was pregnant). Hopefully at least one of these jobs will pull through.
