NH the morphine drip you get afterwards causes the bowel issues along with the pain meds you take orally. I would suggest you have someone pick up something from CVS like colace or even colon cleanse. Proceed with caution! Start with the smallest amount!
The fevers are normal as long as they don't exceed 100.3. If they exceed that, call your doctor! You don't want to mess with infection!
Hang in there! I wish I lived closer as I would come by and bring my dogs and other animals and lend you a hand! sending cyber strength!

My fever still persists. Good news for the day is my stomach worked for the first time in 12 days:tup: The pain level has dropped a little and I washed my hair.:)

Bad news is that my mother is arriving for a few days:bawling: I have no plan of trying to put appearances on for her.

My cat does me a lot of good now if she would just let me pick her up. I really want to see my dogs this weekend. So a call to my daughter will be made. I just have to make sure that her and my mother do not cross paths.

This low grade fever is getting to me.:grumpy:

Manage visit with mom ok seeing as there were other people here. This is very slow going. It does not take much to need a nap. My other leg is so tiered. Really trying to set my sights in the positive outcome. Pain has a way of wrapping itself around you and holds onto everything just in case you forget that your in pain.:cautious: The pain meds too make me a bit loopy and much in the mood for sleep.

Awww you poor thing NH. On a phone so can't post some pretty pictures :(

The big picture is you live in a time where your knee can be fixed to save you from long term permanent disability :)

Now just to find a cure for PTSD ;)

Dearest NH,

I am sorry that I have not been posting on here as I had wanted to. I just want you to know that it is not because you have not been on my mind, just that my mind has not really been functioning well as of late.

Regardless, I know you do not wish your mother to be with you now, but just be yourself and clearly state what you do and do not need. It is wonderful that you want to protect your daughter, but I think she will be ok because she knows that the goal is to get you back up on your "new legs and feet"!

Focus on healing you for diverting energy onto other things will only delay your recovery and your ability to go home.

My humble advice:

Knowing that

we are right beside you, encouraging you along.

Well done so far NH. :tup: The small gaols is a good idea. don't over exert yourself and don't expect too much too soon - these things take time.

Checked in and really glad about reading your "mini goals"... sending wishes and intentions.

Since it seems the fever is persisting, maybe keep a small record of your temperature? Just date, time and temperature. Tracking a fever can be helpful information you can give it to your surgeon or physical therapist if you see it is not subsiding.
