No such luck...the foot is still very swollen. After sitting at the hospital for 3 hours I was put into a fibreglass cast for another 3 weeks with crutches.
This morning I had a call out to a woman in prem labour having twins!! Had to get pushed around rapidly in a wheelchair to help her. Fortunately we stopped the labour and evacuated her by air to hospital.....so much for putting the foot up.
Oh Tessa, and you should be resting with it up to bring the swelling down.
Think I might wish for a small engine to be fitted to the wheelchair, so you can zoom around easier on your own. :crazy:Nope that would mean you would do more, not less, good idea though.
Today was a challenge. A patient came in with septic shock and needed some swift treatment. I threw the crutches and took up the wheelchair with one of my young staff as the driver. He pushed me at breakneck speed and another staff member suggested I pull on the break to stop him....somehow I think I would have landed on the floor and broken something else if I did that : )
