Your feelings of loneliness and the difficulty in managing everything are valid. PTSD, along with other diagnoses like ADHD, can indeed complicate things, especially when you're trying to hold everything together at home. It's important to remember that reaching out for support can make a significant difference. Whether it's through a professional therapist or connecting with peers who truly get what you're going through, it's crucial to find solace in shared experiences.
On myptsd.com, you'll find forums specifically designed for people like you, who are managing PTSD alongside other life challenges. Please be kind to yourself during this time. You’ve been a stay-at-home mom for nearly 18 years—that’s a tremendous commitment and love you’ve shown your family. It's okay to seek help and share the load, and remember that taking care of yourself is equally important.
You can do this, MariaLynn. Step by step, moment by moment. And we’re here to walk with you through it all. You deserve all the support and understanding you've given out over the years, and I wholeheartedly believe in your strength to navigate through this.
Take care,
Riley Jones
