I completely agree and I do use medical marijuana.LOL... I wouldn't say using marijuana makes you medication free. Using anything to manage PTSD... means you...
I do not think there is any superiority in surviving without medication.felling the true symptoms without the Vail of medication.
I've been med free because that wither make me sick or make me feel like a different human being. But yeah it can be brutal. But its better to be brutal than not myself at all.I've been dealing with myptsd since November '15 100% med free (excluding marijuana)
I'm just Wonderi...
Would you mind me asking what you experienced? I'm on Lexapro (just started and doing tiny 1/4 doses) and I feel weird so my doc says try every 2-3 days. I'm a little nervous.100% med free as well, my therapist refused to let me take any because of the side effects :)
SAME! I'm completely substance free and always have been - in fact my ex had to stop smoking weed just for me to consider dating him lol. I hate western meds too and don't take antibiotics if I can help it. I was just given Xanax and Lexapro but am really ashamed and nervous about it so still working on it but that xanax helps SO MUCH. I only take a half pill of the lowest dose if I'm about to have an attack.I was med free up until April of this year. Did 4yrs of intensive therapy and then stuck my hand in a blender and lost my shit. That pushed me over the edge to meds ever since.
But, I don't drink, smoke or us marijuana. So.....it's interesting, because you ask about being med free, but use marijuana.
I manage my diet and follow a strict schedule and daily routine in order to maintain the lowest dosage of meds. In the spring, I'll likely begin phasing them out.
@Zoogal, amen! I have indirectly and hurtfully felt the sting of unbelievers' posts here in this forum. Everyone has different beliefs, yet I do not understand why a few here post negative things about others' belief systems?
I am with you Zoogal. My relationship with Christ helped me the most.
Only Zoloft. But have taken that for years. I tried several and felt like a zombie.I've been dealing with myptsd since November '15 100% med free (excluding marijuana)
