Manor Hall, Doune, Scotland

Does anyone have any experience if Manor Hall (Doune, Scotland)? I have requested my gp puts in a private referral for an assessment. I was discharged but the NHS as I am currently too anxious to deal with my anxiety and my progress is hindered by my safety behaviours. My gp has since put in a re-referral put I can't be added to the waiting list because I am seeing a private psychologist (I was recommended to have sensori motor psychotherapy but this isn't available on NHS). My gp is hoping that a private assessment will add evidence to the need for treatment (along with complaint from MSP about local NHS provision for PTSd).

Has anyone experience of Manor Hall? What should I expect?

Thank you . I have an assessment on 1st September to look at current difficulties and hoping that sone suggestions about treatment can be offered. The centre is about a 2 hr drive but was recommended by my gp.

i have also found it impossible to be awarded NHS Scotland funding. I have had huge positive experience, self funding, as an outpatient at Manor Hall.

I wish I could go here. I am in England and I would never get funding for this.

I have no experience with manor hall. However I am very fortunate that my psychiatrist in the NHS also works privately in Manor Hall. So in effect I am getting the benefit of the expertise of Manor Hall, without going there. My psychiatrist has funded my therapist - ie my NHS CPN - to undertake numerous training courses in trauma including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Complex Resourse Model and Brainspotting.

I can only imagine that Manor Hall is a centre of excellence.
