My Therapist Cancelled An Hour Before My Appt...

I am still entitled to my feelings even if it wasn't done on purpose.
That's what they call "owning your feelings." You feel the way you feel. It isn't a judgement on the other person who triggered the feeling. Judgement of how you "should" feel, and memories of feeling abandoned or whatever, are held in different parts of the brain. Letting yourself have your feelings, especially if you can feel them in your body, name them, and have another person witness them nonjudgementally, will help you integrate those parts of your brain that aren't in sync. This could actually be a good thing, if you can work through it with your therapist's help.

@Pencil Thank you for responding. Actually I have read and reread and read again enough of your posts to know that you do understand! Your thoughts on therapy and comfort and therapeutic touch gave me the courage to work with my therapist in that way. I am serious when I say that! I didn't feel like freak for wanting that and equally being terrified of it at the same time.

@Leigh925 - I'm really touched. And I admire your courage.

Your feelings about your T canceling are completely, totally and absolutely normal. Don't feel bad about feeling the way you do, and don't beat yourself up about it. Don't feel crap about feeling crap. You're feeling crap enough.
