Wondering about structured PTSD programs in Canada.

I sat on a waiting list for the one OHIP-covered hospital program for several years, with no results.

Has anyone done an "out of country" OHIP (medicare) application with any success?

I am not sure what you mean by structured PTSD programs. If you are from the forces and acquired PTSD as a result of service, Veterans' Affairs can help you. If you are covered by any type of medical insurance other than OHIP, you may have coverage for treatment. Your family doctor may be able to make reccomendations. I hope this was some help.

You could try calling The Trauma Centre, (they're online) to see if they do OHIP but they're way up in Sharon north of Newmarket. Also both CAMH and Homewood have programs, but long wait times especially for OHIP. There is an assessment team also at Mt Sinai you could look into.
Wish I knew of something concrete for you. Welcome.

I don't know if you are still looking but if so you may want to check out Women's College Hospital they have trauma therapy program. but you will have to wait because they are not taking new referrals right now. I am in Toronto too and have been dealing also with a lack of services.
