I gained some weight, and I blamed it on my medication, but I realised it was my own poor eating habits that actually stemmed from my job (living in a hotel for 3+ months at a time is terrible if you like to not eat like a rabbit 3 x day). I don't have healthy eating habits now since I have symptoms of an eating disorder.
That said, I think a lot of people deal with stress by eating. Stress makes you tired and you might exercise less. Your sleep is disrupted which contributes to your overall health. It logically makes sense that someone with PTSD is more likely to become overweight or obese over time.
