Hello to all, Name is frenchy (not saying real name) well I don't know what to say. I suffer from PTSD. I am active army. Been to Iraq twice and Afgan. I was part of the invasion of Iraq in 03. Seen some words can't explain it stuff. I was told by dr that I have c-ptsd and chronic depression. I have 2 kids and been married 5 yrs now. I am at Fort Loeonard wood MO. Well I have been fighting my problems and I do not and will not take any types of meds for my problems.

Hi Frenchy - I'm in OP, Kansas. I have a trauma therapist that will do sessions over skype - she is the best in KC and if you want her info I'd be happy to give it to you over PM.

With the RIGHT kind of therapy you should not have to take meds - but if you have lived with this for too long you may have already altered your brain chemistry. This can truly happen with PTSD and you would know if this is the case because you would probably feel like you are hypervigilant all the time, jumpy, irritable and maybe even feel like you tremble whether internally or externally.

I strongly recommend my therapist and I know she has the skills to help you.

Thank you for your service to our country - and I'm so sorry for the loss you have suffered as a result of it. If there is any way I can be of service to you, I would be glad to do it.

My husband refused to take meds and eventually was discharged honorably he could not handle the stress of the military anymore, at first he was adjusting to life as a civilian it has been 10yrs and the destruction of our life due to this illness is devastating he finally sought help after our relationship has been stretched to the limits he received his medication today but has not been able to open them and start. This month is our 23rd yr anniversary and wish he would have had help sooner it may be to late the aggression and abuse have escalated and I am not sure if I am able to hold on :( please don't let this happen to you.
