I moved from Texas to Kansas City 6 months ago. I was told that it does snow but not much and it melts quickly. This is not what I have seen. It started snowing 2 weeks ago. There is now 2 feet of snow on the ground and shows no sign of melting anytime soon. They think it might get above freezing later this week but not by much.

On a positive note it is very nice to look at and all the weeds have died. It also means the insects will not be bad come spring.

I think I like this much better than living through another Texas summer where you start counting the days of temps over 100 starting in June.

I can sympathize. Used to live in S. Florida, and the occasional times it got cold...man it is a miserable damp cold. Half the houses don't even have heat. And no one has clothes for it!
