I'm on day five of paxil, mostly I feel tired, not sure if that's left over from the surgery I had may 22nd, or side effects of medication. It's been a little over two years since the last time I was on meds for my ptsd. It seems I can never make it past two years with out falling apart. I hope this time around this med works.

I hope the paxil helps! Just keep an eye out for the drowsiness.....I remember when I was on it, I would wake up, go to school, fall asleep 5 minutes after getting home from school, and then not wake up again until the following morning. After a few weeks of that, my mom knew I needed to be taken off of it. Maybe the drowsiness will wear off for you though?

My dr said that it might take 4-6 weeks for the fatigue to wear off so I guess we'll see. I guess being tired is better than being enraged and anxiety filled all the time.

Please any of you with paxil experiences check out my thread called Vistaril and Paxil in the medications forum if you have time. I had a bad experience on it and am wondering what any of your thoughts may be on it...did any of you have racing heart or heart palpitations...dissociation...when starting Paxil?...I need some insight...thank you for any responses in advance :)
