Question: double layered triggers?

Ok, so I was triggered today of something that happened at TC, when I was triggered there from my childhood trauma.

So is it possible to have a double trigger?

So i had a shower, it triggered the time at TC which then triggered the original trauma, is that possible?

Triggers work in strange an misterious ways.

That being said, they are actually quite logical. Your brain works by remembering associated events, so as long as the event is important enough for you to remember it then you can be triggered by anything it relates to, that could be the original situation or any situation that was caused by being triggered, they would all link together in your head.

I can easily be triggered by the memory of panic, even though the panic wasn't the event itself because I associate the event with panic. If you get what I mean xD.

Yes. Happens all the time for me. My therapist and I work hard to address original trauma so that it will hopefully resolve all of it.

I tend to address what I *can* at the moment.

Quite often the original thing? Too damn reaching to everything else.
So I'll move with what I can move. The rest are the devils that can keep sleeping, for all I care.

Do you mean like for example like one thing triggering two different flashbacks to two different traumas?
