Undiagnosed Reaching Out For Support

I am reaching out tonight because I feel like I need support. I feel so alone and I don't want to bother my family and friends. Not sure if I need to put trigger warning? My baby has been in the hospital for 3 months. She was burned in a house fire, half her body 3rd degree. I stepped out of the house for 5 minutes while she was asleep in her crib and the house caught on fire. I went in and got her out, but the heat of the fire was too much and she was burned. I have so many emotions. Guilt, regret, fear, anxiety, stress. She is recovering, but will always have scars. I don't know if I have PTSD. I just feel a great need to share my story because it is crushing me. She was in ICU for 6 weeks and now she is in the burn unit. I don't know how I am supposed to feel. I have written out my whole story, but it might be too much for this thread, I'm not sure. Thank you for your support.

I know that it takes a lot to place your heart and story out here when it is such a sad event for you, your family and child. My prayers are with you and yours.

There are several forums to navigate, participate within and a lively chat area from time to time. Perhaps you might even consider engaging within the social threads to feel a little understanding and allow our group to offer you some some tlc. As there are many challenges for you and yours ahead, do not be a stranger. There are many areas within our board that you can consider your space & find comfort while you journey through this heart rendering time. Peace be with you.

Hi and welcome. I know what its like to feel alone but coming on here helps to not feel "so alone"
I can totally understand all the emotions you are having with what you are going through. It must be so hard to see your daughter and the struggles she is going through. Feel free to chat in here about anything worrying you as we are happy to listen.
*gentle hugs if you will allow*

Hi stjohn,

Sorry to hear you are in tough situation as some bad incidents happened in your house. I don't know what to say, but I understand you are going through very hard time.

Please take your time to understand your things, symptoms. You have arrived at right place and you can ask any question by placing threads or you can come and visit chatroom. (I see we are talking already in chats, so pleased)

Gentle hug if you accept.

Welcome. You will find this place supportive.

Some ideas....

If you are having trouble sleeping, or having nightmares you could search here for those two topics, there might be something there which will help.
I'm not sure if you are drinking alcohol, but it can mess up your sleep.

Another thing to learn, or search through on this forum...is for self soothing, and self care.

If you are able, try to drink enough water and eat some healthy food and/or take some vitamins. In times of stress people sometimes forget, or don't priortise these basics, but they will help.

Post as you need to. As we are a world wide group there is always someone awake to reach out to.

I hope something in the above helps somehow.

No I don't drink or take any medication. Although I could use something for this headache right now. I'm in the hospital with my baby right now. She will probably be here for another 2 months. I do need to drink more water, thanks for the reminder. I got vitamins but I forget to take them. I need to because I'm pumping milk for my baby 5 times a day.

My heart goes out to you. Stay strong and consider your self-care will benefit your child as well. It will make it easier to remember your water and vitamins.:) for you and yours.
