[Sat, 23 Apr, 2011] Surprise For Anthony (Canberra ACT)

I have organized a surprise for my darling husband......... details to be revealed as the date becomes closer.

It's getting closer and I just crumbled as his majesty started grumbling about what he is and isn't doing. He thinks I don't know him but I hit the nail on the head. ;):whistling:

No Amethist....It was more the rumbling like impending thunder clouds rolling in. :rolleyes:

Anthony is very close friends with a couple of friends who have 3 daughters. We caught up with the husband last year but Anthony has not seen the wife and girls for more than 4 years (as I have been with him that long). We were planning to drop in January of this year but all those plans got cancelled.

I contacted the wife via Facebook in February after hearing how upset the girls were, the eldest in particular, and they all refer to him as "Uncle Tony". After getting her consent (with delight) I managed to find some really cheap flights and we are going to spend two days with them over the Easter holidays. Flights and plans were booked and made in February when I posted the Event but Anthony didn't see it and the Event messed up so I couldn't post hints so it would come up as a new post. I then tried a Chit Chat thread and still no movement from beside me.

In an attempt to get Anthony's attention I showed him the Event and we worked out I had to delete it and re-post - that's why it looks recent. Then, as he finally saw it he grumbled about "I'm not flying anywhere and I'm not seeing such and such etc" so to shut him up I told him. He now says he is excited. :whistling:

Anthony keeps telling me I have no idea of how much this family mean to him and I shake my head saying " No, I have no idea - that's why I planned it :speechless:".... men :alien:.... really need the bash the head against the brick wall smiley!

I am taking my gorgeous husband to visit friends whom he hasn't seen in a very long time. Was able to secure some very cheap flights months ago and had to spill the beans when I was told "I am not going anywhere for Easter or flying anywhere". :sneaky: I think someone is quietly excited now. :tup: :whistling:
