Undiagnosed So, This Is Me...

It was very difficult. Before I went back I agreed a package of support including a temporary change of line management pending formal mediation between us. The supports helped in one way, in that I didn't need to deal with her day to day, but left me feeling isolated amongst, which made things hard. I started therapy to support my return to work and am seeing someone privately - it's spendy but means I have control over how long I see her for.

Have you thought about what you would need your employer to put in place to help you return safely?
 
No I haven't thought about it. I need to talk to H. R. tomorrow. What I do want is simple "Human Rights". No yelling. No in my face/ space. Flexible hours for therapy appointments. I was talking to my co -workers and they said she was still the same. H.R. said they would do mediation with us when I come back to work and also my union will be helping with the "write-ups". I get panic attacks just thinking about going back there. But hopefully the therapy will help.
 
I hope it does, I know I've found therapy invaluable in helping me find a way to manage my emotions while keeping going in every day. It's so important to feel safe at work - and really not being yelled at is the least you should expect. I hope things go well for you.
 
Hi, and welcome to the forum! I hope you can find the courage to open up. It is a Pandora's box of sorts, but keeping it in is no walk in the park, either. It opens, you work through it, and then life can be better than you ever imagined. At least that's where my story is leading me.
