Chimera - Having been unemployed for now 4 years I can understand. I'm not sure if you will agree, but I believe people who have power like supervisors, managers, etc. tend to be the culprit of cultivating those anxiety on a person whether that person in power is female or male. I have worked for both and I had trouble adjusting to both due to power intimidation and lack of compassion for a person who is suffering form anxiety. I may be wrong, but I feel some of us are better off starting our own business. My last job, I felt safe had no panic attacks when going to and fro from work. However, I couldn't handle the females especially the ones in power because I felt like they look down on me. Hang in there, you are strong even though you do not feel it.

Welcome to the forums. Great insight.

I also believe that people who struggle with these issues would be better served to start their own businesses/self employ. I have in the past had 2 small businesses. I ran into problems with my own ptsd issues arising, but mostly a lack of capital to grow and take it to the next level...so they both stagnated. I will again start a business with new awareness and have been taking small steps in this direction. At this point, lack of capital holds me back as well as some financial issues I must attend (right back to capital) before I can launch. So I have to find safe work that will allow me to save as well as handle my affairs....safe is sort of the crux right now though...
