So, I live in an apartment in a building that used to be a general store. When I was looking at the place, my roomie said "this part was where the butcher shop was. These 'trap door' things in the floor were the meat holes where they threw the parts down to the basement."
I totally believed him!
Almost three years on, now knowing what a...I'll be nice and say "jokester"... that he is, I'm not sure if that's true.
I decided to treat myself tonight, and turn the heat up a scooch. I'm sitting in my favorite chair, that happens to be near a vent (but not too near). I have my notebook ready, music casting to the tv, my markers and mandalas around me should I end up NOT writing in my notebook. Ah.
Heat kicks on, whoo hoo!
IT SMELLS LIKE MEAT!
It's never done this before (that I recall...), but all I can think of is, OMG IT'S THE GHOST MEAT!!!
Actually, now I'm thinking, crap, is it a ...um, mechanical (?) issue if the heat smells like meat? One time my car smelled like maple syrup and then it died....
Anywho! Hope it's ok that I posted a random story, and I hope someone gets a chuckle. :)
