Starting a potential 5th job today!

Oh the joys of a half a day of teaching in front of potential employers to see if they want me as a casual teacher for their school!

Today I am grateful/terrified to be starting another short term temporary job.

I am learning from my mistakes and really improving!

I have really gone up a notch in managing my reactivity!

So I AM TERRIBLY NERVOUS AND COULD HARDLY SLEEP LAST NIGHT! But hey my foot is in the door and I am doing really well.

However all in all it is another huge success! This time last year I couldn't even think of what I am doing now!

It was a heck of a day. I was given the wrong material to prepare. I was given very unclear instructions, so I just made it fun and hilarious with the kids, and I said to the other teacher what was I meant to do? Turns out they were glad it was given to me as they didn't understand the instructions either.

Then I was given material and told to present it, which I did on the fly. I am really fortunate that I have such a broad background.

Then I was given a story to read out that I have never seen before. It was annoying as some of the parents talked whilst I was reading, and one was talking on the phone.

I did really, really, really well given that it was just one curve ball after another.

I am going back next week so I guess I did okay. It's just one afternoon per week.

This one will probably not work out.

But it is a set of learning experiences.

Workplace politics can be tricky. I will be more careful next time. I haven't been reactive with anyone or anything like that but I needed to have checked out the situation a bit more.

So I say yes, then I say no. It's too hard, but then hey I will stick with it!

What great problems to have! Hey I have choices and a life! Another great achievement!
