Today was the first session of group therapy (it's an 8 week version), general topics, and I'm so proud of myself! I didn't get overwhelmed, was able to engage with everyone there....and I was able to be vulnerable and tear up! I've never, ever done that the first session, and rarely throughout the whole time the group runs.
I also was able to tell the other members that while I'm happy to say hi to them if they see me on campus, I would appreciate if they approached from the front or said my name due to my having PTSD. Plus! I also asked what they would feel about crying, and then I also said I'd really appreciate if no one used Jesus' name in vain (since that hurts me really bad because Jesus means so much to me).
I'm really proud of myself for being so assertive and vulnerable at the same time in a group setting! :D So I just wanted to share that!
