I hope you both enjoyed the day despite Anthonys flu. I have been thinking of you both today. I feel as if a lot of us here are following in your footsteps and enjoying New York with you, I know I am.

Anthony and I had a wonderful walk through the park - the equivalent of 30 street blocks which was only half the park. We walked further than initially planned as no-one else turned up which was disappointing.

We have some great photos to share on our return.

Watching Anthony walk calmly through packed streets of hundreds of people at night has made me realise how far he has come let alone a relaxing walk through a very peaceful park with many people - but nothing overwhelming in comparison to the streets of NYC.

I had hoped some forum members would just step outside their comfort zones even if just to say hello at the fountain but it was not to be. Each must progress at their own pace and I respect that. Maybe today was just not the right time for them.

May all who struggle socializing find their way someday..... You can overcome some of the debilitating side effects of this illness with time & determination. Maybe your day will come in the future.

This is great. It is an effort to do this in an unfamiliar environment. You are both inspiring. I know I don't have to say this but take some quiet time each day just to focus on how you are feeling and to ground yourselves.

Disappointing yes, but you and Anthony still had a good walk through what I've heard is a wonderful park. It would have been nice for you to put some faces to names though. Maybe next time.

Going on a range of bus tours today to see all the NYC highlights in one condensed way. We have a downtown, uptown and Brooklyn tours today. We've actually near done midtown and downtown ourselves via walking and subway... Haven't spent much time uptown as we found it was just chaos. Hopefully see the Guggenheim today.

Glad to see you guys are really seeing everything! Hope you are feeling better and have a couple of down time days (no tours or running around) before you leave.

I can't believe I missed you. I didn't get an email I guess.

Would you like to go out to dinner or lunch in China town one of these days? I'd love to hear about your adventures so far. My husband and I will come to the Helmsley Palace to pick you up...or any other spot you have traveled to that day. We can also try thai food or Indian food. The Indian restaurants on 8th Street are terrible. We think they may have one cook.

I hope we can get together....no shop talk, promise
