I joined the Marine Corps in 76,went on my first combat tour in 78 on the columb border where, yes it did get bloody but i learned alot about stayen alive.we had alot of v.n. vets to learn from. Then 4 years later i was in the root doing what i liked to do best.On the west side.hizzbulla was the faction then ,we had a wild time on west side.contact out the ass.Any way i got out the Corps in 83 and thought i would get married and start a family.I had no clue about ptsd ,i dident know how to act.I was very violent, angry, depressed, not sleeping,a mouse pissing on cotton would wake me.drinking alot, well i guess you know how that ended.Well i went on like this till 07 and it all came down around me.I came apart ,Ptsd had me by the nuts bad.I left everything i owned and started walking,i filled my alice and started humpen out of there.Well i ended up in vegas a few months later and thats where i first made contact with the va and started getting help. I joined a combat vets program for a year and got meds and a shrink. It did and still is helping me.really its about me and me getten a grip. They know alot but its just book learning, they do the best they can i guess.Well i hope this gives you something. later

Right on Brother. Glad you're here. It started boiling over for me about 2005. Held it all in until then. Good to see another hardcore cold warrior here. There are several here. That time between Nam and Desert Storm was the end of an era Bro. Desert Storm grunt here black1. Lots of good people here. All Brothers and Sisters. From Nam to current. Welcome Brother. :)

Welcome Marine ooh-rah!!
Take a knee brother you're among friendlies here.

Sorry to hear of the colateral damage caused by the *Beast* but everyone here suffered some as well. Lots to read here and feel free ask questions we don't read minds very well.

Many folks here from the sand box era and old nam farts like me. Got folks from all over God's green acre including some folks from *downunder*. Good luck!
