Absolutely Shell... I didn't think this was something I would like, but WOW, was I wrong. I loved this book... absolutely amazing.

KP has passed her copy on to me and I got into it on the first page.

It is very well written and easy to read. I have skipped a lot of posts so I don't get spoilers.

I am up to the point where so many men are dying due to technical failures than are killed during the war and I loved the bit where Lois swapped his gum for laxative gum and gave 2 of the crew the trots!! Abstract art indeed!!!

I can't wait to read more but it is a hard copy so I can't hold it for to long.

Me neither, it was hard in places but I'm pleased it was suggested.

Tried to go to the library and they wouldn't give me a new card with my drivers license and voters registration card. I have to bring a local bill with me...darn. I don't happen to carry around my water & sewer bill. So I have to go back, but think I will be doing some lighter reading this summer. I did though break down and by Max Lucado's Traveling Light. It will hold me over til then. Into the beach bag it goes.

You were right first time Alba. It is non fiction but told in a kind of 'semi biographical story' way, if you get what I mean.

I am now up to the part where Louis and all the guys are repatriated.

What happened to these guys was horrid but I like the fact that they kept their sense of humour; like when one bloke was teaching English to one of the guards and taught him a sentence with the 'F' word in instead!!

They are now starting to show the PTSD symptoms.

A wonderful book and I'm so glad I have had the opportunity to read it.

I finished the book last night; what an amazing journey! I won't reveal anything else as I know Alba hasn't read it yet but I am so glad I read it.
