I just want to say that we need to do a much better job of protecting our kids in the schools. Some ideas.
1.) Law enforcement needs to do a much better job of responding to threats.Better systems.
2.) There should be only one way in and one way out of school grounds with rigorous security checks.
3.) The amount of armed security present should be correlated with the number of students present. Three thousand kids, one armed guard per 500 kids equal 6 guards.
4.) Tall fences that can not be scaled.
5.) Trained dogs to sniff out concealed arms and ammo.
6.) Extensive use of security cameras.
7.) A school committee, with teachers, law enforcement and trained psycologists to evauate serious problem kids, or any other threats to the school and kids.
8.) Separating problem kids and teachers from the school for the security and safety of the other kids.
9.) Metal detectors
10.) Bullet proof glass
11.) Sensors when a door is unlocked.
12.) Very specific training for teachers and students on how to neutralize a threat.
13.) Just like pilots, allow only very well trained teachers to carry concealed weapons.
14.) Guards with heavy weapons so they can not be out gunned.
15.) No old geezer guards close to retirement,
only experienced law enforcement prepared to fight for our kids lives.

We have to protect the kids, we protect everything else! Remember prisons are designed to keep the bad guys in, these measures are designed to keep the bad guys out of such a child rich environment. :D

@Dr.Knowbuddy THIS was what I was referring to. I certainly wasn’t referring to you, and had I, I would have said @Dr.Knowbuddy I don’t hide when I want to say someth8ng, I just say it. Oh, and now I’ll say this. I don’t like your conspiracy theories, so unless you DO listen to the news, you are misinformed IMO.

You go, girl! @Fadaway.

I am running out of steam from defending these kids against the crazies on FB and Instagram...

You're highly misled. And clearly set in your ways.
You've also got a grudge against me and incredibly biased views particularly leaning to the liberal side.
That's cool. I feel sorry for those like that because when reality hits... they'll be the most devastated.
I've already been through the depression involved with realizing the lies.
By the time it hits you all this nation will already be at war internally on a physical level.

Seriously they edited him saying no wait, stopping etc
Twist my words, it is ok. I said your video edited to make it look like he was repeating line that he screwed up. Sure he said, "no, wait," That was in regards to "trying to put into perspective." completely normal thing to say. The stopping was him choking on words in a very normal way when someone is telling there story of trauma.

Regards to David Hoggs first interview the night of the shooting in the 2nd video you linked there are edits at 5:51 and 5:58 that were intended to give a different impression of what what he was saying. How well would you have spoken if giving an interview right after the trauma that caused you to have PTSD?

I watched some of the other videos by the creator of you video. It is if he has never been in a high school before. News flash! High school sports teams compete against other high schools and travel to other schools for those games. Schools go on field trips.

Ya'll just aren't ready for the truth yet.
You can think that, I am comfortable with my reputation in the conspiracy world, and been around it long enough to not be naive enough to fall for every new theories out the without doing my due diligence by investigating. I don't watch t.v. either, but I also don't rely on home youtube videos without checking their sources and credibility. And calling people blind because they watch t.v. well, it speaks volumes.

For the sake of not derailing the thread any farther, I am placing you on ignore to curb any temptation I might have to get off topic any farther. Other wise I would be happy to continue this conversation if this was a conspiracy site and not a PTSD site.

@Dr.Knowbuddy The "ladies" you diminutively address do not deserve your defensive "attack" stance. They disagree with you and have a considerable knowledge base to back up their disagreements.

@SaharaSon As an teacher, I reject all of your proposals.

Let's get back to the topic on hand.

@SaharaSon Nice list! Brainstorming solutions is great! Being married to a teacher, my husband and I have discussed many of those on your list at length. Several of them I suggested myself, but he pointed out some problems with them.

2.) There should be only one way in and one way out of school grounds with rigorous security checks.
That poses a problem grouping all the students in one place as they are leaving the build. all a shooter would need to know is what time school got out and the made rush of students as they exit the building would actually increase the number of student deaths, especially if the shooter positioned himself on the rooftop of a near by building.

There is another problem with how far do you go with protections and still maintain a school like environment that feels like a safe yet doesn't impair a healthy learning environment. Overkill on the protections and it cause students to feel more fearful rather than safe. It's like level of police saturation in a neighborhood. You see one or two patrol cars in your neighborhood and increases feeling of safety. If you are constantly seeing multiple patrol cars in your neighborhood, you are going to feel less safe because you start thing, "what kind of crime is happening in my neighborhood that we need such a heavy police presence." So finding that balance of making kids feel safe enough to be able to concentrate on learning without the constant reminder schools are dangerous and need heavy protections. Children deserve to remain innocent for as long as possible.

@Dr.Knowbuddy The "ladies" you diminutively address do not deserve your defensive "...
You're delusional man quit fooling yourself cus you're not fooling me.
And honestly I wrote all I care to say to you or any of your like.
So quit quoting me and move a long now.

Let's get back to the topic on hand.

@SaharaSon Nice list! Brainstorming solution...
My only comment is that I am not prepared to sacrifice any children needlessly to maintain some etherial sense of "innocence". These are are not innocent times. Maybe multiple entrances during high traffic times. Also, remember there are heavily armed, well trained security present if shooting starts. It is no longer a soft target. Protect the children, our first responibility. :D
