I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight I have to fight.

What if you replaced that with I gotta breathe? Slow it down and focus on your body? Take it out of your head and slow down your body? It seems frantic. Is this a certain situation or is a thought pattern?

So long as that is your choice, go for it, but take stock of your fortitude, commitment, and determine if, really if, you are ready to engage in fight. I have to fight against there being so much cruelty in the world didn't communicate in any way in your initial post. I have though found it more beneficial, generally to decide and choose what I am for... from a calmer frame of mind.

When I wrote the post, I was talking about fighting the flashbacks, and symptoms of ptsd, so breathing is a great solution to that. But when I think of being against something, I think of all the cruelty I was witnessed.

I can understand that well, fight is usually my "go to" response. But it has it's difficulties... as you get better at management, and the breath work, you'd be wise to not cultivate the habit of fighting overly much. It has it's own pitfalls and consequences, usually relational. I found that out the hard way, I'm afraid, but learned my lesson well.

I get it. I can't stand it either. I can't change anything except myself so if my world wants to be calm then I need to stay calm inside first. Then I have the skills to guide others to calm. So there is nothing wrong with saying you need to fight the demons that haunt you - it is the frantic that makes me think that breathing and slowing yourself down will be the start of so many great things.
