I recommend a book called When Someone You Love Suffers From Posttraumatic Stress: What To Expect and What You Can Do by Claudia Zayfert PHD
This has helped my hubby so much because it not only explains PTSD to him, but it empathizes with him as a supporter and teaches practical strategies to cope. I hope you will consider reading it. It even addresses walking on egg shells.
By all means, boundaries are important as well as safety.
You must get your daughter to safety and see a qualified therapist. Take it from me please. I was your daughter once....I have PTSD now. Please take it seriously. Please. If she is before the age of 7, this is extremely detrimental to her development no matter if she seems unphased. This will impact her in an extreme way!
