Iv'e been diagnosed with PTSD for about a year with it going 5 years before a diagnosis .

I am really curious how others experience ptsd attacks
my whole body feels like an intense tingle emitting agitation and fear ll the time. The anxiety jumps through the rough and all of a sudden i couldn't get a word out of my mouth. I have locked up for several hours at a time. sometime i sleep in the bathroom so i can barricade myself in and be safe. the looming fear that life brings on a daily basis makes me do things like avoid phone call, constantly exhausted, i also never live a single second without worrying that the all i know will come to an end, windup living in a cardboard box.

has anyone else done this shit?

4 Suicide attempts
Jumping out of a moving car
hiding in the woods because you just want to disappear so you can be alone.
driving a motorcycle at 120MPH in a 35.
everything you see instantly becomes analyzed as a suicide weapon.
running away from your family while 800 miles from home. and abandoning them for a month.

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

I'd say that your experince is much like others with PTSD. I encorage you to read around the forum there is a lot of great info and a very supportive community.

Yes, the tingling for me feels like touching a live wire electric fence and not being able to let go. It goes though me and makes a pitch in my ears, like feedback.

Some of what you described doing I've mostly just wanted to do and didn't, like disappearing into the woods. Other I have done often is avoiding phone conversations and people that I should trust. Abandoning people so I can be alone has happened on a certain level.

Getting diagnosed comes with its own issues. I had a real problem accepting the label. this forum really helped me to turn that around and use it to get help, get better, and address things head on.

Welcome to a great forum, Calako Jack.

As I am too a military vet (With child abuse issues in my past) I totally understand the confusion our bodies and minds do to us with this injury.

Sending :hug:s from the UK to your location guest @calaco jack
