What Did You Do For Someone Else Today?

While I was out and about today, our air conditioner thermostat broke. My poor husband was sitting in a sweltering house. It was ninety three degrees. While I was in a air conditioned car. When I came home I had to check the thermostat and it was broken.

So I called a repairman and he came out almost right away and fixed it all.

When I called my husband on the phone to let him know where I was, he never complained about the heat. Now it is fixed. When I leave tommorow he will not be stuck in a hot house. Poor guy. I felt so sorry for him. He is so frail and does not know how to do things for himself anymore.

So I did my good deed for the day. I try to make him as comfortable as possible. It is nice and cool in here now. We have some major problems we have to get fixed. I will have to make the arrangements. I hope it is not the worst case scenerio the repairman said it might be. We will get it done.

We are getting ready to celebrate 3 birthdays. So we went out and bought cards and a present for my daughter wrapped in a red satin bag. Tommorow we will go out and get gift cards for the other 2. It is important to do these things.

I was out shopping early this morning - literally as the shop was opening. An older lady entered the supermarket just in front of me with her trolley. She was wearing a long skirt with probably an 8 inch zip up the back. But the zip was wide open, and showing the back of her knickers

I had a quick debate with myself - should I tell her or not?! If that was me, I'd rather someone told me, compared to people staring, nudging and perhaps laughing at me.

I tap her on the shoulder, "excuse me Madam, I really don't want to embarrass you, but I thought you should know that the zip on your skirt is undone".
"Oh my Goodness!! Thank you so much for telling me, I'd never have known, I'm so forgetful these days. Thank you dear".

Bless her, she was so nice. It made me smile :)
