What Did You Do For Someone Else Today?

Yesterday, I listened to my son when he unveiled a secret, without judgment. I listened as I would have liked someone to have listened to me so many years ago.

I bought kitten food and cat's milk, for my friend's kitten, which was given to her, after the kitten's first human host was evicted from my building. The kitten is emascated and just recovering from a severe virus.

I ordered a gate for my son's room that has a kitty door on it. Hopefully, it will keep the dogs out of the cat food and kitty box. It has a hinge on it so that my son can just open it up and walk in too. Right now he has a portable dog house in front of it that the cats sometimes lay in, but he has to step over it and the dogs have learned to just push it aside.

I helped a blind older man, to get from my doctor's office to the bus stop, on the other side of the road, and helped him, to find a seat on the bus, once we had boarded it. I know this is from yesterday, but I wasn't in any shape to be near people (going to the library, to log on to a computer there), after my social worker appointment, having taken transit during rush hour traffic.

The cold and snow are EXTREMELY triggering for me... But I still made it outside for a snow ball fight and building a snow man with my son.

I took my son to a sporting goods store because he wanted a bag for working out and a piece of exercise equipment to work out with. I want to encourage him to stay healthy.
